HOME TAPE INSTRUCTIONS

FORMATS: We will accept a 20-30 minute DVD, MINI DV or YOUTUBE showing us WHAT  MAKES YOU – YOU. Make your video as person as possible. You must have someone else   record you and we must see you on the video the entire time. Make sure we can see and hear you clearly. Please do not edit your tape, we prefer you send it raw. Show us photos throughout the years and how your weight has been an issue. Lift up your shirt and show us your weight. We need to see that you have a significant amount of weight to lose. Bottom line, we need to see how difficult your life is, how mundane it is, how tiresome it is and just how you live. And finally, we need to hear just why you are ready to change everything!

EXAMPLES OF WHAT TO INCLUDE: Remember, this is a documentary on your life. We want to help you and we need to know that you need help because everyday living is exhausting. We need to see what that everyday living consists of for you. For example, take us through your typical day from morning to night. We want to see you waking up, how you sleep, shower, live, eat, work, your interactions, play or don’t play, go outside or hide out, who you hang out with or what you do during your days, nap, go to work, stay home, get dressed. If getting dressed is difficult, show us why. If getting in the car is difficult, show us. We want to see the challenging everyday tasks you live with and why you need this. If you live with family, have them briefly talk about why they want you to lose the weight. We want to see you on camera the entire time. THIS TAPE SHOULD NOT BE PRODUCED, RATHER IT SHOULD CONSIST OF TYPICAL MOMENTS OF YOUR LIFE.

HOW TO BEGIN THE TAPE: Start the tape with your name, age, height, weight, hometown. Tell us your occupation. Lift up your shirt so we can see your weight.

➢ DEADLINE: WE MUST RECEIVE THE APPLICATION AND VIDEO BY JUNE 11, 2010

➢ PLEASE CLEARLY LABEL THE ENVELOPE & TAPE (AS WELL AS THE CASE) WITH YOUR NAME, PHONE NUMBER, AND THE LETTERS “HT”

➢ MAKE A COPY OF YOUR TAPE FOR YOURSELF IN CASE ANYTHING SHOULD HAPPEN TO YOUR TAPE

➢ PLEASE NOTE: All submissions will become sole property of the Producers once submitted, and will not be returned to you, whether or not you are selected for the show.
